⚽🔥 CONTROVERSY IN NEPAL WOMEN’S FOOTBALL! 🇳🇵
A serious issue has emerged in Nepali football as Rapti FC has reportedly been denied participation in the ANFA Women’s League — despite being included earlier in the official fixture list.

After Waling Municipality FC informed that they would not participate this season, ANFA decided to include Rapti FC, who finished 6th in the qualifiers. The club followed ANFA’s instructions, submitted participation forms, paid fees, started preparations, recruited players, and arranged accommodation and training.
But just three days after publishing the official match schedule, ANFA reportedly reversed its decision after pressure from the other nine participating clubs, preventing Rapti FC from playing in the league.
This decision raises serious questions about leadership and fairness in Nepali football.

📉 Why this decision matters:
• One club being removed means around 25 players losing playing opportunities and income
• Around 5 team officials and staff also lose their jobs
• It discourages women’s football development in Nepal
Nepal is known across South Asia as a powerhouse of women’s football 🇳🇵💪. Our national team continues to perform strongly at international levels, and women’s leagues are crucial for creating opportunities, employment, and development for players.

But when club pressure overrides federation decisions, it raises concerns about governance in Nepali football.
Rapti FC’s management has stated that they already invested money in preparations and now face financial and social damage. The club is reportedly considering legal action once they receive an official written decision from ANFA.

Should a club be removed from the league after being officially approved and included in the fixture list?
