The Great Himalaya Trail – Day 8
We arrived at the Nango La Pass aroun midday from Ghunsa. Strong winds, low temperatues made our climb difficult. But Limbu was in good mood. From almost 4.800m we ran down – but it took us until 10pm to arrive in Olangchung Gola. What a long and hard day – 25,81km - 1.457m+ up.

The local Limbu lady opened her shop for us. We had no hurry, the gentle village of Hathiya convinced us: We stayed for two nights. And waited until the heavy showers moved east.

The Great Himalaya Trail - Night 62
The cold is coming with glacial speed. The fire brings warmth, at least for a moment, into the utter solitude. Dafuri Sherpa and „Tiger“ will sleep outside under the stars tonight as well—as they love to do. And I’ll be counting the hours until we can finally continue on toward Charkkha Bot—where we will hopefully spend a warmer night.
