To all Magical Niue followers.. just to let you all know about a current change to Magical Niue Sea Adventures...
Due to the last 18 months of no tourists in Niue, my circumstances have changed a lot. I now will be concentrating all my efforts into the extremely important coral reef restoration and eradication of evasive species in Niue.
Fortunately last week I have been able to hand over the operation of Magical Niue to Evan and Jana of "Niue Blue". We have worked closely together over the last year developing a great relationship, and am happy that they will provide all my long standing and future customers the best experience.
My sincere thanks to everybody!
Kind Regards, Rami Oved.

Have just completed these 3 digital paintings of whales encountered during our whale watching trips in previous seasons.
These paintings can be available printed on quality framed canvas in most countries.
In Niue these can be printed by Mark Cross.

A clown fish and its anemone, a File fish and a sea turtle.
Taking 2 minutes break from our underwater Drupella snail removal work to film these 4 creatures.
It is quite rare to see a clown fish with its anemone in Niue. Little but a very brave fish, that is given protection within the anemone's venomous tentacles, and in return it aggressively protects it's host, as can be seen in this video, taking on 2 large divers.

Found this huge masive coral with lots of colorful Christmas Tree worms, on a recent dive.
Christmas tree worms live in a tube within mostly Masive coral species. Each worm has 2 christmas tree like spiral fans, which serve as gills to extract Oxygen from the water, and also catch food.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND RARE SOFT CORAL GARDEN IN NIUE
To watch the short video recently taken and edited by Rami Oved from Magical Niue, please click the following link:

We recently discovered this unique garden during our underwater exploration.
The garden is consisting of several soft coral clusters of mixed coral species, some rare, as well as a wide variety of reef fish and colorful algae and sponges. A very healthy and unique ecosystem.
The first 3 minutes of the film is showing us making our way from the open sea,, through underwater arches, tunnels and chasms, until reaching that magical site.
The remaining 6 minutes are all about the soft (and hard) corals.
Most magical and interesting dive we have done in Niue.
Location: somewhere remote in Niue

Zack Smith having a great time flying under water with our Subwing during our special trip yesterday with his wife Christyl, Lynsey Talagi and Dan Makaia.
Watch this video if you would like to see a sample of what it is like for two divers to collect over 1,000 coral eating snails in 50 minute dive at 18-25m deep.
While doing our reef monitoring work, we discovered part of the reef, about 2.5km south of the wharf, infested with the Drupella snails, indicating that the outbreak is spreading south, and is intensifying.
We believe that the 1,050 snails we removed yesterday were most of the snails infesting the ridge we focused on. However, we saw a good number of large clusters of baby snails too tiny and out of our reach, so we are expecting a second wave in the near future.
Every mature coral we save now is also saving the next generation of corals it will produce in the spawning event due next month.
It is the healthy mature corals that decide what the reef will look like in the 12 months following the yearly spawning event. Hence the urgency to save as many of them as we can from these
drupella snails.
These snails if left alone can and will decimate all corals depening on the scale of the outbreak.
We would like to thank Niues Fisheries for supplying us with a safety skipper yesterday.
Special thanks to Brendon Pasisi for saving the day, using a digger to put our boat in and out of the water, since the crane was out of order.
Please contact us if you would like a share of these snails free of charge.
