Fakaalofa lahi atu ๐
Signing off December 2025 the best way we know how.. out on the water ๐ฃ
We squeezed in a couple more charters and a few solo missions before the year wrapped up, and the ocean didnโt disappoint.
Wahoo were still cruising through ๐ฅ and some the tunas started to show up.. a good sign of whatโs ahead this summer ๐๐
Thank you to everyone who jumped on a charter, followed along, shared a yarn, or supported us in any way this year. We donโt take it lightly ๐ค
Hereโs to a strong finish to 2025 and an even bigger year ahead on the water ๐
Bring on whatโs next.

10/11/2025
Matt and his son Xavier joined us from the Bay of Islands ๐ณ๐ฟ and spent 4 straight mornings fishing here in Niue ๐
A few species ticked off โ
A couple lost on top-water ๐ฃ๐จ๐
A solid 37kg Yellowfin Tuna to top off the week ๐ช๐
Good sessions all round.
Thanks for jumping onboard with us, team. Safe travels home โ๏ธ
See you next time ๐

Got the kids got out on the water and burned off some energy ๐
Good timing they started back at school yesterday for Term 4โฆ
Mum (and baby sister) can finally enjoy a bit of peace and quiet again ๐๐โโ๏ธ
Plenty laughs, and a few โdad can I drive the boat?โ moments ๐ฃ
Nothing like school holidays spent out on the ocean ๐โ๏ธ
Now to get them to clean the boat clean the fish while dad has his coffee๐คฃ

.Six-Week Catch-Up ๐๐ฃ๐
Itโs been a grind lately, working harder and harder to get onto fish! ๐ช
Itโs a full-on race against the sharks.. winning some, losing most ๐
but every trip still makes it worth it out on the water.
We recently headed out on a flying-fish charter with young Charlie from Nelson; a legend in the making! ๐๐ฃ Always awesome seeing the next generation getting hooked on the ocean life ๐๐
As we near the end of getting our guests on the water, weโre looking forward to sneaking in a few solo missions ourselves ๐๐ฅ

August wrap-up ๐
Some wahoo started showing up this month, though the sharks at our FADs kept us busy ๐ฆ. The odd mahimahi also made an appearance.
๐ฃ Fish of the Month goes to a nice mahimahi landed on softbait by good mates Glen and Sam, who make the trip over every year. They stuck with the softbaiting after losing a solid tuna to sharks right at the boat, no doubt theyโll be back to settle the score! ๐๐
September will be a bit quieter for us with some on-land commitments, but weโll still make sure to share some fishy photos along the way ๐๐ฃ๐

Fakaalofa lahi atu fishers! ๐ฃ
Itโs been a busy month for us โ we took a couple days off for school holidays but still managed to sneak out and grab some baits ๐
Itโs definitely been a challenge out there ๐ฆ We've been lucky to tick off a solid range of species: Marlin, Wahoo, Yellowfin, Mahimahi, and even a sneaky Big Eye ๐
Weโve been pushing hard to the back of the island when the weather allows, especially since a few of our FADs have been taken over by sharks ๐
Fish of the month goes to me and my 5-year-old son Cullen โ we landed a 33kg Wahoo! ๐ฅ team effort and a special moment... been a while since I had to wind one in myself ๐คฃ๐ช

Last weekโs trips gave a couple of our guests a solid workout ๐ช
Unfortunately, we couldnโt land all the fishโseems the sharks have taken a liking to our boat ๐คฆ๐ฆ
We lost our first marlin to a shark, and it wouldโve been a beauty!
Still, we managed to bring in a solid 50kg yellowfin tuna ๐ and a couple of wahoo during the 4-day Rheem and Plumbing World fishing competition ๐
To mafola!!

Our friendly guests getting out there and giving it a go๐๐ฃ
Managed to snag a couple wahoo since they have been playing hard to get for us๐คช
The odd marlin has also been about ๐
Mornings have been a bit chilly for the skipper but our guests have not minded at all ๐ฅถ
Let's see what the next lot of trips brings us๐

It's been a handful of fishing; not so much catching this past week and a bit.. Had us digging deep on a couple of trips and a few trips we've been unlucky ๐ฎโ๐จ
Managed to snag Tunas, Skippies, Wahoo, and a Marlin and a couple of early mahimahis ๐ ๐
It's been full-on! Bit of a front moving over us, so land bound for a couple of days.
Tending to the gear before another week of adventures๐ช
Fakaaue lahi to everyone who fished with us and especially those who keep coming back to visit the Rock๐

Our guests have put a bit pressure on us to find them a wahoo ๐
We covered some ground and managed to snag a couple with a few misses but how awesome to get our mates on to their bucket list fish๐
We will be taking a wee break overseas as we extend the fishing crew ๐ผ๐ถ
Once we are back on island and on the water we will be back to our regular updates.
Tight lines to our fishermen back home ๐ฃ Keep safe out there ๐
To feleveia kehe motu!!!
