ROUND 11 | NORTHLAND WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP 🔴⚫️⚪️

Unfortunately, this week’s match won’t be going ahead, with Moerewa OBM defaulting 🥴 It’s disappointing for our wāhine who were ready to get out there and do what they love, but that’s rugby sometimes.
We’ll now head into a two week break with a bye next week before we’re back on the field.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported last week’s raffle, and a massive shout out to our awesome sponsors:

🐑 Mutton Pack ( #81): Missy Mangu

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you again to everyone who bought tickets and continues to support our team. We’ll see you all back on the sidelines soon! 🔥

A solid result on the scoreboard, but plenty of learnings to take away from this one. Massive thanks to Pipiwai for making the trip up north and for bringing the physicality from the first whistle to the last.
We know there’s still work to do, but we’re proud of the effort and grateful for another opportunity to grow together.

ROUND 9 | NORTHLAND WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP 🔴⚫️⚪️

HOME GAME this Sunday, 1pm at Te Rarawa Rugby Club.

This weekend we welcome Pipiwai Wāhine to Ahipara, a team that continues to grow and make a strong impact on women’s rugby in the north.

It’ll be extra special to host a side coached by Aroha Savage. Aroz was one of the original fire starters of our Te Rarawa Wāhine team, helping pave the way back in 2018 and building a legacy and culture that remains deeply embedded in our team today.

Our wāhine are excited for the challenge this Sunday and we’d love our whānau and community to come down, support the girls, and enjoy what promises to be a great game of women’s rugby.

What a game.
A top of the table clash and it definitely lived up to expectations. Both sides were locked at 5 all at halftime, and despite the final score, Kaikohe made us work for every single minute of that 80.

Massive effort from our ladies today. We knew we’d need to stay in the fight for the full game, and the ladies dug deep when it mattered most.
Big mihi to our Kaikohe sisters for hosting us and for an awesome day of footy.

🏉 Players of the Day🏉
1 Point – Kredence
 2 Points – Riley
 3 Points – Te Wairua

Huge shoutout to our debutant Te Wairua, putting in a full 80 minutes in her first game. MAHI! 🔥

Plenty to work on, but we’ll take the lessons and we go again next week

ROUND 8 | NORTHLAND WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP

We’re back this Friday night as we kick off the second round of the competition against Kaikohe under the lights.
