Dear Mid Canterbury Winter Classic competitors,
I regret to announce that I will not be running the Mid Canterbury Winter Classic annual event this year, which has run successfully for the past three years. This decision was not made lightly, but after considering my recent move to the Far North for work, and my upcoming tenure end as President of Pickleball New Zealand Association, I will be taking a break from pickleball for the foreseeable future.
The good news is, Pickleball Ashburton will now be in charge of this fantastic tournament event and any upcoming events. And there is still 5 months to prepare for a tournament, more than enough time to make it a great success. Look for announcements from them on any plans for future events.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our attendees, sponsors, and partners who have supported me throughout the past three years. Your unwavering support has made this tournament a resounding success and allowed us to positively impact the competition experience in New Zealand.
