🏁 LEVELS DUAL CAR SPRINT RECAP 🏁

What a fantastic day of motorsport at Levels Raceway for our latest Ashburton Car Club Dual Car Sprint!

The day started with a wet track, making for some challenging conditions early on and keeping drivers on their toes. As the day progressed, the weather improved and the circuit gradually dried out, allowing competitors to really put their foot down and chase quicker times.

With 28 competitors taking to the track, there was plenty of action throughout the day. The changing conditions made for an exciting competition, with drivers continually improving their times as grip levels increased.

Congratulations to our overall placegetters:

🥇 **1st Place – Terence Phillips (Honda Civic)** – 3:27.420
🥈 **2nd Place – Greg Cross (Subaru WRX)** – 3:28.481
🥉 **3rd Place – Jimmy Liemburg (Nissan Skyline)** – 3:30.824

Terence set the benchmark for the day, putting together a superb run to take the overall win, while Greg and Jimmy weren't far behind in a closely contested battle for the podium.

A special mention also goes to Corban Sprague, who finished 4th overall, and Ryan Gallagher who rounded out the top five.

It was great to see such a diverse range of vehicles competing, from Civics and WRXs through to RX-8s, Skylines, Evos and everything in between. Whether competitors were chasing personal bests, or simply enjoying some valuable seat time, there were plenty of smiles in the pits throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes to all of our volunteers, officials, timekeepers, and supporters who helped make the event possible. Without your hard work and dedication, events like these simply wouldn't happen.

Thank you also to everyone who entered and supported the event. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we enjoyed running it.

Keep an eye on our page for photos from the day and details of upcoming Ashburton Car Club events. We look forward to seeing everyone back out on track soon!

Hi everyone,

Wheels Week Plus 2026 has wrapped up for the year, and the Ashburton Car Club Inc. successfully hosted three events over the past three weeks.
We had a fantastic turnout with 119 competitors participating in the Fairfield Freight Hub Motorkhana, Ashburton Street Sprint 2026 - fuelled by KFC and the Suzie Morrison and Grant Gordon Night Trial.

I would personally like to extend my sincere thanks to the dedicated committee members who put in a tremendous effort to organize these events.
I feel the Street Sprint was another resounding success. We faced our usual set of challenges in the lead-up and during the event.

I also want to specifically acknowledge the invaluable contributions of those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, your support is crucial.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the marshals, competitors, spectators, volunteers, officials, businesses, sponsors, and the wider community. Your enthusiasm and support are what make our events truly successful.

Results of all our events are below

That's all from me. I'm signing off now

Best regards,
Kim Adams
Secretary
