Mountain Bike Ashburton

Then and now. What a huge effort by our MTB community.

It's great having community support to make our projects affordable and effective. We've had some great feedback on our new directional signs. Get out and go for a ride Ashburton.

A huge THANK YOU to Real Steel Ashburton, Rainer Irrigation, Tech1 Industries and West Farms for supporting the engineering and manufacturing of our new trailer. It easily moves 3-4 barrows of basalt from A to B.

Many helpers make light work at our Hakatere River Loop Track. Over many years this track has been developed, refined and maintained, by volunteers. Thanks to all that have contributed over time to an awesome community asset. Get out and enjoy it.

Tracks almost clear of leaves for winter riding. Help us finish it off. Rakes on track ready to go.

90% of the years leaf fall is over so it's time to clear the track for winter. Thanks Malcolm for blowing 2/3 of the track last week, it's tip top! If you're out for a ride over the next few weeks please help out by spending 5 or 10 mins raking out the bottom of berms in particular and the track in general and then moving the rakes on. We will try to get on the blowers too. This prevents the leaves turning to mud over winter.

Bridge construction is getting underway so expect your rides to be interrupted. Once fencing is complete we will have a detour in place to connect the track up with Trevors Rd. Hopefully thru the rugby park and Scouts so watch this space and for signs on the track.
