That’s a wrap 2025/26 season!

Congratulations to everyone for the season. Again our country club has punched well above its weight in every respect.

Day 2 of the Canterbury Children’s Championship didn’t disappoint. Nga Puna Wai was in a pretty good weather mood with the sun burning and not too much of a vicious wind.

Our team of 29, 16 girls and 13 boys produced some really great performances. The team showed again great sportsmanship and our new members learnt lots and grew in confidence, it was great to see everyone supporting one another over a long tough two days.

To all our club kids - be proud of yourselves, you’ve worked hard, shown great sportsmanship, we always see you all out there giving it your best, having fun with your mates, as a club we couldn’t be prouder or ask for anything more. The red singlet was worn with pride again this season, out in force!

Thank you parents and everyone behind team ASBA this season. Special thanks to Steve Skilling and Joe Ford for the extra help and support given to the club. Thank you to Tania & Jen and the committee & parent coaches who give up their time to help on club nights, it’s so greatly appreciated and reflected in how well the group does as a whole (Tom, Ash, Moses, Johnny, Anna, Danielle, Ashleigh, Sally, Sarah, Mihaela) without everyone’s involvement, support and encouragement none of this is possible! To our Grandad, your banter and support to club is infectious and invaluable (thank you Colleen for putting up with him and letting him out at weekends to keep our spirits high).

Signing off for the season!
Kylie
