What a day of competition BBQ at Smoke at the Lake!
A massive congratulations to BEERS Championship BBQ, taking out Grand Champion with an outstanding 1,178 points! 🏆🇳🇿
The BEERS crew have only recently returned home after representing New Zealand at the 37th Annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, Tennessee — and they’ve wasted no time getting straight back to business on home soil!
Congratulations also to Dusty Que, making the trip across the Tasman from Australia and taking home Reserve Grand Champion with 1,157 points. 🇦🇺🥈 A fantastic result against a strong New Zealand field — thanks for coming over and cooking with us!
There were some seriously impressive boxes handed in today, including THREE perfect 300s! 💯💯💯🔥

Social Smokers took the ribs win on countback, but both teams delivered a perfect scoring box — an incredible achievement. BEERS then added another perfect score to the day with their 300-point brisket.
A huge thank you to Scott and the entire team behind Smoke at the Lake for putting together another fantastic event. These competitions don't happen without a massive amount of work behind the scenes, and we appreciate everything that goes into giving our teams a place to cook, compete and catch up.
