Throwing bombs with the Assassin Horizon Championship Edition No. 5 🔥🏆

21/09/2026

Snuck out for a short morning session chasing a few beautiful rainbow trout. The conditions definitely weren’t on our side, with gale-force winds at times and rain squalls rolling through, but we still managed to get a few beautiful fish to hand and had an awesome morning on the water.

The weather gave us a proper chance to put the gear through its paces as well. The HPA bags did exactly what they were designed to do, keeping all our gear and essentials dry through the pouring rain.

The ASSASSIN Double Yolk waterproof rain jacket also got a serious workout and kept me dry throughout the entire session, even when the rain was coming down hard and the wind was howling.

Nothing massive this time, just some beautiful rainbow trout and a really enjoyable short session despite the weather.

All HPA and ASSASSIN gear is available through Monsterfishing.com

A mullet head, the trusty Horizon Championship no8, and the Fishadoozle FMJ Shark Trace… recipe for a good time! 🎣🦈

This school shark gave us the perfect chance to put the FMJ through its paces and show off that beautiful parabolic bend of the Horizon no8 loading up smoothly and keeping the pressure on right through the fight. 💪🔥

Good fish, good gear and a few quick snaps before sending her back where she belongs.

When the weather says stay home… we hear shark fishing.😂🎣🦈

After all, our saying has always been “You can’t catch fish on the couch!” Even if that couch is looking pretty bloody comfortable when it’s cold, wet and raining outside. 😂🌧️

The Fishadoozle FMJ Shark Traceswere rigged and ready, the Assassin Horizon Championship no8 got a proper bend in it, and eventually we got our hands on this awesome little toothy customer.

The rain definitely came along for the session, but the HPA waterproof bag earned its keep, keeping all the camera gear safe and dry while the rest of us got absolutely soaked. 📸💦

A couple of quick snaps, plenty of respect for the fish, and back she went where she belongs. 🤙🦈🌊

Massive thanks to Monster Fishing for keeping us geared up for the days when the fish are biting and the weather is doing its best to send us home.

You can’t catch fish on the couch… no matter how comfy it looks! 🎣😂
