Last week, we had a great day at the Auckland Champs Orienteering held at Western Springs. A huge congratulations to all the students who competed, it was a fantastic day out in the sun.

We also want to extend a massive thank you to our parents. Without your help with transportation and logistics, these opportunities simply wouldn't be possible for our students. We truly appreciate you giving up your time to support the team. Thank you Mr Henderson for being our lead teacher and organising the team.

Mahi for the Moana! 🌊

Our student leaders teamed up with today to clear rubbish from our beautiful Waitematā Harbour. Seeing the impact first hand is a reminder that Tangaroa needs us all to play our part.

Shout out to the Sea Cleaners crew for everything they do 🙌 They are a non-profit organisation that coordinates volunteers and full-time crews to remove millions of litres of rubbish from New Zealand’s coastlines, which is essential for protecting marine life and preserving our waterways for future generations

Australasian Easter slam 4 day tournament 🏀

When our coaches wanted to give our kids an experience of playing in a club & representative under 14s tournament.
Some tough games but we love being given this opportunity for our kids to be challenged and learning.

Thank you to our families for always supporting our programme

🏀 60 Kids, Hoops, and Legends!

Our tamariki had an absolute blast with the BNZ Kiwi Hoops crew! We had 60 of our students hit the court for a day full of skill-building, teamwork, and pure fun.

So many cool opportunities for our kids….but having Tall Black legend Tom Abercrombie and some of our incredible Tall Ferns there to coach and inspire the team, that was a top tier highlight ! Seeing the "best of the best" in Aotearoa hanging out with our kids made the day unforgettable.

Whether they were seasoned players or picking up a basketball for the first time, every single one of our 60 students walked away with more confidence and a huge smile.

What a day for GEIS Basketball! 🙌🔥

🏉 Ponsonby 7s Vibes! 🏉

Huge day on Sunday for our crew! We had an absolute blast as a school team.
It was our first time playing together as a mixed gender team and the chemistry was unreal.

Play-of-the-day highlights:
💥 The girls’ tackling was next level, no fear!

↔️ Incredible edge-to-edge ball movement, finding space and trust in each other.

🧠 Seeing those spatial awareness and handling skills click into place under pressure.

Being one of only two school teams there, we’re so proud of the grit shown.

Massive thanks to Ponsonby Rugby Club for giving us an opportunity to play and organising a well run tournament for the kids

To our coaches Aio and Jarrel, our kids are privileged to have young, experienced players, coaching them. Thank you for sharing your experience and time with us! As premier Ponsonby players and Gallaher shield winners, it’s pretty special having you both give back to grassroots rugby.

And to our parents and extended families, thanks for the Sunday sidelines support.
