As an Indian man living overseas, I think that the hardest thing to develop when I first started my gym training was learning to eat the same amount of food each day.
I think we can either eat too much food, or eat too little food and wonder why our body composition is not changing.
We also don’t have a plan of action as to how to make the most out of our season of building or loosing fat.
The key is to:
1. Eat lower density foods.
2. Start tracking consistently what you are eating.
3. Eat at a timed time
4. Meal prep in advance so that you are always ready.
5. Give your body time to change before increasing or dropping the amount of food you consume.

Going into summer small group training is a great way to get shredded!

Coming from India, there were so many changes in adapting to a diet that was different to what my parents cooked.
I think the main difference was that I had to start looking at my portion sizes and started weighing my food on a scale. Not to mention the fact that it seemed so unusual to do so when everyone at home was not doing the same.
To actually loose the weight, I had to do something different to what was being done. And although it seems different to what a normal Indian would be doing to eat. There was something that empowered me when I realised that I can loose weight through tightening my diet on this little scale.
I don’t want to be just another Indian who uses too much oil in their food or who is not working on becoming the man who looks good in his clothes.
The greatest things are built, when we don’t follow what the rest of the world does. And if you want to look amazing in your clothes, you sometimes need to do something different. Something that feels uncomfortable, initially. Once it becomes a habit it WILL become the norm.

I remember when I moved from India, and my mum bought me my first gym membership and I used to go with her to the gym, I was only in primary school. And I used to see people popping biceps and shoulders while I was on the rowing machine. At that age in my heart I wanted to become that man who looked amazing in his clothes.
When I got into weight training I was frustrated because I wasn’t looking how they were, because I didn’t know what worked and what was the correct nutrition and exercise to follow to look amazing in my clothes.
But over the years, I have made it so simple to follow to loose weight and build muscle.
When you have a focus of becoming the person for your fitness goals, it will turn into a reality. Have a vision and see yourself as the man or woman who looks amazing in their clothes 👊

I’m incredibly happy for this man right here! I remember the first day Jeetesh had come in to see me and we had discussed about his blood sugar and cholesterol being high. We had discussed that after following the nutrition and exercise plan had a goal to reverse your type 2 diabetes and bring down your cholesterol.
When I created Jeetesh’s plan we had discussed tailoring it to make sure it doesn’t spike his insulin through whole foods and that our main goal would be fat loss to bring down his levels and of course being in a caloric deficit but a slow and steady process, of increasing his exercise capacity and tightening Jeetesh’s diet.
I am so proud to announce that as of today, from the results of his doctor that there is no more type 2 diabetes and his blood pressure and blood sugar has come to normal levels.

Coming from India and growing up in New Zealand I was not eating the best way. And I always had fat around my chest and love handles. I wouldn’t feel very confident in the clothes I was wearing.
But this changed when I decided to invest time into learning what works to enjoy my Indian foods, but also to make them healthy so that I could still loose the weight.
Once I started exercises really well and I started sticking to a plan that I could adhere majority of the time.
This helped me to feel so much less frustrated and I felt so much more confident about the way I looked.

Coming from India and living overseas has been amazing!
I think that when I started my fitness journey I was frustrated, because when I tried to build muscle or lose weight, I didn’t know how to do it properly and I didn’t know what would work to loose the weight.
But over the years, I have developed a system that allows me to gain muscle and loose weight, and I can help my clients do the same.
It is actually not at all that complicated but it’s about finding out what actually works and trusting the process long enough to get the results that you want.
Enjoy the foods that you eat, but know how to make the changes necessary after a good time eating to get back on track 👊

When I first started my fitness journey in New Zealand when I was in high school, I didn’t know the power of keeping my shoulders healthy.
So to make sure when you are starting your fitness journey, you want to avoid shoulder injuries. It is really important that you start strengthening your rotator cuffs.
Laying these foundations earlier in your training will set you up for a good training when you start your fitness joruney. Because a lot of movements at the gym involve a lot of pressing so we need to keep our shoulders in top shape.
So I would recommend doing this exercise either at the beginning of your work and also after your workout.
When performing the exercise make sure that your elbow is tucked into your side and that it’s not coming away from your hips while you externally rotate.
I would recommend doing 3 sets 6-8 reps.
