There was plenty to celebrate at the Safeguard New Zealand Health & Safety Awards earlier this week.
It was inspiring to hear about the incredible mahi taking place across industries around Aotearoa and to join in celebrating those recognised for their outstanding contributions to health, safety and wellbeing.
NZISM members were particularly well represented in the individual award categories. Alongside Jessie Bourke being named NZISM Practitioner of the Year, two other NZISM members received well-deserved recognition:
๐ ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐๐น๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ (NZISM Wellington Branch) โ edenfx Emerging Practitioner 2026
๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐๐ (NZISM Manawatu Branch) โ Thomson Reuters Mental Health Champion 2026
Annalise was recognised for her outstanding work in developing a successful Lunch & Learn programme focused on critical risks, which was subsequently adopted by Health & Safety Advisors across Downer. She has also been selected for Downer's Thrive Women's Leadership Programme.
Trina was acknowledged for the significant contribution she has made to strengthening wellbeing capability within FMG, helping build a shared language around mental health and fostering a culture where conversations about wellbeing are normalised and encouraged.
At NZISM, we're incredibly proud of the dedication, expertise and impact our members bring to workplaces across New Zealand every day. It is wonderful to see just a few of the many success stories within our profession recognised on a national stage.
Congratulations, Annalise and Trina. We're proud of you and all that you've achieved. ๐
