2026 NZ BUCKS CAMPAIGN 🇳🇿

We’re back for 2026 — and this year the New Zealand Bucks programme takes another big step forward.

Our boys have consistently finished inside the Top 8 at the Global Youth 7s, including another Top 8 finish in 2025 after a narrow quarterfinal loss to Australia.

For the first time, the NZ Bucks will also field a Girls team at the Global Youth 7s — a massive addition for us and an exciting new chapter for the Bucks.

Our 2026 programme will also expand beyond GY7s:

MEN’S — National Competitions
U15 BOYS / YOUNG BUCKS — National Competitions
BOYS & GIRLS — Global Youth 7s

🏆 CONGRATULATIONS KIAAN & NIKAU 🦌🇳🇿

A massive congratulations to two of our Bucks boys, Kiaan & Nikau, on winning the 2026 Auckland Secondary Schools Rugby 1A Championship with their school, Kelston Boys’ High School.

Kelston’s 1st XV secured the title with an impressive 27–15 win over Auckland Grammar in the final.

Full credit also to Auckland Grammar on an outstanding season and a great 1A campaign.

We’re incredibly proud to see our Bucks boys achieving at the highest level of Auckland schoolboy rugby. Nikau also captained the New Zealand Bucks during our 2025 Global Youth 7s campaign, making it even more special to see him and Kiaan continuing to achieve on the field.

Well done boys — massive achievement and thoroughly deserved! 🏆👏🏽

An outstanding campaign at GY7s 2025, finishing with 8 tries and tied 2nd overall on the try-scoring charts.

Proud of this group at Global Youth 7s 🦌

After two tough losses on day one, the boys bounced back with two wins on day two to top our pool and make the top 8. A narrow quarterfinal loss to Australia ended the underdog run, before battling it out for 5th and finishing 7th overall.

Massive effort from a great group of lads that will be friends for life 👊
