The Canyon is situated in a hilly, rugged area of the rainforest, of volcanic origin. For the most part it is densely clad in native forest, to the west; the ranges are bordered by the Tasman Sea, in a series of high sea cliffs and wild beaches. The Piha Canyon is set in an amazing steep sided volcanic rock valley providing a spectacular setting for your adventure. With a series of thundering waterfalls that cascade their way down the valley towards the ocean.
