The thirds are back playing on their spiritual home block at Devonport Domain #2 for finals week! The lads take on Papatoetoe and look to go 3-0 for the season against the southern foe.

After a strong performance full of energy last week, the boys go into this 'do or die' game high on confidence and look to secure the win and their spot in the 3rd grade for next season.

With most squad members available this weekend, the team will have plenty of experience, ability and grit at their disposal to end the season on a high!

Lewis Goodwin and Logan Clinch to co-captain the side, the man with the highest power-to-weight ratio in Auckland Cricket Dr Saad Ghafoor in as the specialist batter/bomber, and Dr Sahan Jayatissa in as the specialist bowler with his niggly right armers.

The rest of the squad for Saturday are Mac Chapman Ashley Abraham Ollie Arthur-Hunt James Ferris Alex Pasco Sergei Montgomerie Andrew Buoys Mac Dalzell

In support of the team from our core squad are Hasitha Maduranga Kumarasingha Morgan Tapper and Cameron Gore who will be cheering from the boundary and getting into the celebrations early, as well as Dr Jarrah Dowrick who will be supporting from afar!

First ball @ 12pm 🏏

The thirds are playing on their spiritual home block at Devonport Domain #2, taking on the grade's top side in Cornwall. The team pushed them in the first round of games so they are looking to go one better and take down the league top-dogs!

Most of the core squad is available and fit to play, so the thirds will be looking to draw on that experience and talent and walk away with a big scalp on Saturday.

Logan Clinch and Lewis Goodwin to co-captain the side, Sergei Montgomerie takes the gloves, with Alex Pasco as specialist batter and Jarrah Dowrick the bowling-ace.

The thirds are playing at home at Devonport Domain #4, alongside the Premiers and Premier Reserve sides, so energy levels are going to be high as we all defend our patch!

The team welcomes new signing and young-gun Dominic Barker into the side, who is making his debut.

And a big welcome back to club stalwarts Tim Duncraft and Mac Chapman who return to the side for the first time this season to provide their wealth of experience.

Lewis Goodwin to captain the side, with Logan Clinch recovering from a hand injury and playing as a specialist batsman, and Sahan Jayatissa in as a specialist bowler.

The thirds lads head out to Avondale to take on Suburbs, a big game in the scheme of the season as a win here will start to sure up a place in the middle of the table and safety from the bottom two spots!

Some old heads mixed in with young-gun talent makes for a strong side with plenty of batting and bowling options. Cooper H-t in as a specialist batter and Sahan Jayatissa in as a specialist bowler, looking to take his maiden wicket for Shore!

A welcome back to the thirds to yet another young gun Nick Petherick, who will be on the gloves 🧤, and a big congratulations to Saad Ghafoor who is new to the club and been bringing the effort, energy and vibes to training and now makes his debut! 👏

Another strong side with plenty of experience and young talent to be captained by Lewis Goodwin. A great opportunity for back-to-back wins and to get on a roll of good performances 🔥

A strong squad this week with the return of Lewis Goodwin, who will be captaining the side, Alex Pasco who is in hot form with the bat, as well as the addition of Santosh Iyer, Matt Browning and Max H-t who were playing for the reserves last week.

The team is fielding 12 players, with Alex Pasco in as our specialist batsman and Jarrah Dowrick our specialist bowler hunting to add to his 5-fa from his last outing.

The team will be looking to take down Cornwall at Cornwall and bounce back from last week's defeat!

A young man developing his cricket showing his true potential with the bat with a structured and confident knock on Saturday. Congratulations to Jarrah Dowrick in just his second game for the club for his Signal Hill Player of the Day Award performance on Saturday!

A man returning to the game after 12 years away, putting in the hard yards in the lead up to the season and making the most of the delayed start, as well as the expert leg-spin advice from our club’s star leggie Tendai. A brave effort in the wind on the astro at Papatoetoe, flighting the ball up and backing his turn and control, as well as his fielders, taking a wonderful 5/41 off 7 overs and icing the game, beating Papatoetoe by 21 runs and taking the team to their first win of the season 🏆

A top achievement and the first player up in gold on the honours boards from the thirds for this season, let’s hope the first of many!
