This session dives into the often-overlooked skills that separate good climbers from great ones: committing fully to your movement, cutting out unnecessary adjustments, and using body positioning and breathing to climb smarter, not harder.

Whether you're working your first V-grade or refining your technique for the next level, this workshop will help you move with more precision and less wasted energy.

Introducing Bloc Fest—a day of all things bouldering, made for all climbers.

Saturday 22nd August | Boulder Co. Auckland.

Bloc Fest features a new style of bouldering comp, with a format that’s built for the whole climbing community.

Five qualification tiers means you're climbing against people at your level, with the top six male and top six female climbers from four tiers going through to the finals rounds on the day.

Here's how it works:

➡ Choose your qualification session when you buy a ticket. Three two-hour slots run throughout the day.

➡ Log your best results on 30 problems, across the full grade spectrum.

➡ Finals rounds are divided into four tiers; three score-based Open tiers, plus Youth U17. With cash prizes for Open categories!

Climbers in the Youth B (Under 14) category compete in qualification rounds only, with prize-giving alongside Finals categories in the evening.

But it’s not all just about the comp. Bloc Fest is a full day of climbing goodness. What to expect:

Live music.
Physio sessions.
Shoe demos.
Spot prizes from the best brands in the biz.

This is the very first time Bloc Fest has ever run in Auckland.
