What is Qigong and why is it included in our Club sessions?
Qigong is one of the four essential therapies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It originally dates back to 3000 BC. Qi refers to energy or breath while Gong refers to movement or effort.
It includes breathwork to animate both body and mind, postures and movement to achieve a balance of positive energy thereby leading to increased vitality and the maintenance of good health.
Qigong is looked upon as the basis for Chinese Martial Arts, where breathwork, energy work (qi), physical balance and mind/body synchronisation is key to mastering Tai Chi.

Please note: Classes are cancelled from July 13th whilst we are attending a training seminar at a Shaolin Monastery in China.
