Thank you 2020 for your challenges that only made this group of girls stronger, work harder and build not only a strong skill base but also some amazing friendships 💙

A big thank you to all those that helped our 2020-year prize giving happen. It was a wonderful night to celebrate the graduation of our girls transitioning from Junior Netball to Senior.

I can’t thank the families enough that support these girls every week, getting them to trainings early in the morning, driving to games in peak hour traffic. You are truly amazing. Thank you thank you thank you, your support is what keeps our club going and allow Klee and I to do what we love doing so much. You give up your time, and invest in your girls and us as coaches. We have the best support crew, the best netball families. You are all amazing! Thank you for your contribution at Prize Giving, you generosity does not go unnoticed.

A big thank you to Anthony Apelu Anthony A-Plus Apelu who not only help manage our Starz Marist Team but also providing the music and sound equipment to make the prizegiving a success.

Each and every single on of these ladies has grown so much since you started with this club. It has been a joy to watch each and everyone of you grow.

Thanks to those that voted, and it was awesome to see how many of the votes came through for the same awards which really reflects the strength and characteristics of each of the girls in what ended up being a short but amazing Summer Season.

Long Term Service Awards.

Whilst these four girls missed out on a winter season due to lock down and played for their school during the summer season we wanted to recognised the contribution they have had to this club and their team mates over the last 5 years. I’m sure their school provided these four girls with the well-deserved praise for a fantastic netball season, however, we could not let their efforts and talent go unrecognized as we come to the end of the junior season.

Well done Kizyra, Meadow, Rosie and Amy. These four girls have been the foundation of our team’s success over the last 6 seasons, our TP team has remained undefeated for 6 seasons straight and you had a massive part to play in that success. While we missed you this season it was awesome to see you representing your school.

Lynne we couldn’t of begun this journey without your vision and support of these girls. We can’t thank you and Tony for providing Klee and I that platform to continue what you started. The friendships, bonds out weight the netball. We wanted to recognise the massive contribution you have had and continue to have 💙 We thank you!

This player has stood out over all teams at the club, has displayed all the competencies of all Awards listed above and a player to watch for in the future.
This year this award won by Rose Tupai

This year Rose has displayed and outstanding style of netball, she has been committed to all trainings, always displaying a positive attitude, always listening then applying her coaching on court. She has a way of making receiving even the most difficult to reach passes effortless, has a shotting percentage well about 90% all season and defensively secured much needed turnovers and ball. Thank you Rose to not only your contribution the club, your attitude to me as a coach but your contrition to the players in your team, lifting and inspiring them through the way you play the game. We cant wait to see what the future holds for you in 2020.

Congratulations to Central Starz White, your team continues to grow immensely, and you played some absolutely outstanding netball this season. Klee and I have loved watching you grow and continue to love this game. You had some fantastic hard-fought wins this season and you should be so proud of what you have achieved. Klee has done such an amazing job with you girls, I know you all are extremely blessed to have someone with her skill set and talent coaching and mentoring you. I cant wait to see you continue your netball journey in 2021.

Central Starz Marist – Congratulations on such a fantastic season. Winning the A Grade Year 8 competition was a bonus, but what I loved more about the season was your attitude. Every game, regardless of the score you continued to lift. Having an opportunity to play complete opposite positions has allowed you to grow as players, allow you to respect you team mates position and puts you in a fantastic space going into college netball. Congratulations on a super season and for making Central Zone Champs along side your sisters at Kedgley Intermediate. Whilst disappointing the final plays off didn’t go ahead, placing in the top 8 schools in Auckland (north; East; South and Central) is a magnificent achievement.

Central Starz White – Congratulations on winning the Year 8 ANI competition. It was fantastic to have some amazingly competitive games to really test your skills, apply your training and work together as a team. Each week you grew stronger and stronger and the amount of complements that came through from Auckland Netball Officials continues to this day. Playing our sister team in the final was a highlight. This was a reflection of the talent in both teams and was such a fitting way to end our Junior Netball Journey and 2020 season. Im so blessed to have such an amazing bunch of girls – thank you

Your dedication to this season has been nothing but outstanding - while others are sleeping lol you were up early every Saturday morning learning your craft while having fun all at the same time. Almost closing to the end of 2020 and what a year it has been for our youth. So blessed we have been able to get a small summer season in and enjoyed playing some amazing netball and both Windmill and AMI 💙
