A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Northern Region Championships. It was fantastic to see so many people come together to train hard, compete, learn, and enjoy the weekend.

A special thank you to the Turangi and Coastal Dojos for making the journey to support our event. Your commitment and enthusiasm helped make the championships a great success.

Thank you to Mark Willis Shihan and Andy Riley Sensei for your insightful and inspiring training sessions. Your knowledge, guidance, and willingness to share your experience are greatly appreciated.

A big thank you to Anya and Brad for all your hard work on the tables throughout the event. Anya, thank you also for jumping straight into helping in the kitchen afterwards. Your dedication and support helped keep everything running smoothly.

Thank you to Carolyn Riley for preparing and cooking a wonderful celebration dinner for everyone. It was the perfect way to finish the day together.

Thank you to Kevin Brookes for allowing us to use your BBQ and for your help setting up the court.

And to the Turangi girls (you know who you are!)—thank you for all your help in the kitchen, washing dishes, cleaning up, and pitching in wherever needed. Your support was invaluable.

Events like this take a lot of organisation, but what truly makes them special are the people who attend, volunteer, support, and contribute their time and energy. We can organise the event, but it’s the people who attend that make it great.
