On Thursday, November 28, the College Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year awards were celebrated at Eden Park. This prestigious event recognised outstanding achievements among secondary school athletes in Auckland.
Among the finalists were Rio Bidois (Snow Sports), Jake Macken (Gymsports), and Lily Rushworth (Hockey), each representing their respective sports. Being selected as a finalist is a significant accomplishment, highlighting their status as some of the top athletes out of 110 schools and over 110,000 students participating in the region.
Lily Rushworth was honoured as the Female Hockey Sportsperson of the Year for 2024. In addition to her award, she was invited to represent all student-athletes by delivering a speech at the ceremony, showcasing her ongoing leadership on & off the turf.

Loads of basketball action took place over the long weekend, and Kristin Basketball was well represented!
Congratulations to Harrison Yin, who was part of the team that won gold in the U14A grade.
Additionally,ย a big congratulations to Oscar Wu, Lucas Alexander, and Mitchell Amos, who contributed to their teamโs victory in the U14B gradeย
