Sadie She took home gold at the NZ Grappler Summer Nationals, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🥇🔥 She’s showing that Moxie isn’t just a brand, it’s a mindset—100% effort, 100% empowerment.

Sadie Budge is the Girls Expert Gi Season Champion for 2025!
has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for around 6 years, and trains at Ground Control East Tamaki three times a week. When she’s not on the mats, she’s spending her time with her other passion — horse riding 🐎
She first got into jiu-jitsu after her parents signed her brother up… he decided it wasn’t for him, but Sadie stepped in instead — and never looked back.
On top of competing, Sadie has also launched her own BJJ apparel brand, MOXIE by Sadie B — another example of passion turning into something bigger.

Even while on holiday in Malaysia, Sadie couldn’t leave her gi behind.
While we were in Penang, she was lucky enough to get a few rolls in at Flow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

A big thank you to the Flow BJJ team for being so welcoming and letting Sadie jump on the mats during our stay. Great people, great energy, and an awesome place to train while travelling.

It was an incredible display of skill, perseverance, and respect across all competitors. Sadie and her longtime opponent Marli met once again on the mats — two amazing athletes who are always so closely matched. This weekend, it was Sadie’s day, but the sportsmanship and mutual respect between them remind us what this sport is all about.

The jiu-jitsu community continues to inspire us with its positive energy, support, and camaraderie — a place where girls empower each other to rise higher every time they compete. 💪💜

Today was a tough day at the Oceania Kids Championship, but I’m proud to have walked away with a silver medal! Even though I didn't get the gold and hurt my elbow in the last fight, I gave it my all and learned so much from this experience. I also got a lot of compliments on the cool design of my Moxie gi I competed in—thank you for all the support!

I'm hoping to be ready for the AJP Tour New Zealand National Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2024 next weekend. This journey is just getting started!
