Happy Mother's Day to my mum, grandmother, all the mums, step mums, and amazing mother figures out there.

Thank you for the love, strength, care, and support you give every single day. You shape our lives, lift others up, and make the world a better place in countless ways, often without asking for anything in return.

Take some time for yourself today, soak up the love around you, and be proud of everything you do and all that you are.

Wishing you a beautiful Mother’s Day, you deserve to be celebrated today and every day.

I never want to miss out! I never want to HAVE to sit on the sidelines and be a spectator. I am training to ensure that I can always participate as I want to. I want to ensure I am up for any challenge my friends throw at me. Not just to ensure I can be badass and strong as I need to as I get old. Yes that! But also to be able to make the most of that time too.

What about you? Why are you training?

A few weeks ago I started at a new gym and it was TERRIFYING!! I know my way around a gym, I'm decently strong, I know all the exercises, move ok but I was so scared!!! I knew noone, the classes are huge, and I was coming into a gym where I was the least fit, weakest person around.

I know the feeling of starting something and being scared. I don't want you to be as terrified as I was!! Let's chat so I can help make that first session feel like waay less of a hurdle.

I promise it'll get better! You just have to start.

Are you hypermobile and been told you need to be really careful training at the gym?

Here's my top 3 things to think about when you start training.

Strength training should be your best friend and is your key to avoiding painful joints and recurring injuries!

There's so many bugs floating around ay the moment. Don't let getting sick knock you off the training bandwagon. You need rest and time to recover, take it. And then slowly start moving again. You won't lose all your progress, you just have to start again!

252 days after my mum got hit by a car on her bike she was back on her bike again. We always underestimate the true time line of recovery, particularly the mental and emotional side. Getting back to where we were can be super frustrating but also scary.

We don't see our progress, it's super slow, bit by bit, but eventually we can do it those things again!!

Well done mum!! Slowly getting back out there!!

Stretching can feel great in the moment, but it's not a long-term fix for muscle tightness. To truly address the issue, we need to identify the root cause and focus on building strength. Something isnt strong enough and is holding tight to protect you from further injury.

Strengthening muscles helps prevent tightness and promotes better mobility over time. It's not about quick fixes — it's about sustainable solutions and long term results. 💪🏋‍♀️
