Well it’s been along timing coming, after slogging away for 6 years, Ryan finally won his first competition event in jrs.

He’s been to quite a few finals over his time but fell short each time. He qualified well, Tree’d and pedalled his way through the field, finding his groove. Great way to finish the year out.

It’s the end of an era for these four junior racers who race their final meeting today before they age out of the division 😢
Racing juniors has not only been a lot of fun, but the kids have forged friendships that will last a lifetime.
Dylan Hart-scott, Hamish Chauval, Brooklyn Hedley, and Anika Reid next season won’t be the same without you in the juniors, and we hope to see you all back out on the track in the years to come.

Great day @ Meremere today, once a year they have a day just for Jr Dragsters kids to take over the track and have it to themselves. With 39 kids on track today it was a full on day.

Ryan won two rounds in both “Chicago Shootout” and in “Heads up”

Hamish killed it all day and won all his rounds, plus striking it lucky with a couple of byes thrown in the mix also. So he took out first place in “Chicago Shootout” & “Heads up” in the Top Comp class, winning overall across all age group classes in “Chicago Shootout” and also with closest to dial in, running a 7.920 on a 7.92 dial.

Hitting the South Island rounds. Ruapuna this weekend

Last minute decision we decided to head to Masterton for the Wildbunch meeting, Saturday saw a bunch of rain delayed the meeting till mid arvo and Ryan’s car just wouldn’t perform, so with the help of Rod Harvey & Tim Hart we did a late night motor swap and with the sun turning it on today. Ryan laid down his first high 7.90 pass which put him on the journey to the finals today and he cut a killer light in the final but the car just couldn’t finish the job for him, so he ended the day with runner up.

Great day back at the track today for the opening Meremere comp meeting for the season.

Ryan had a tough day with his new engine combo and went out first round.

So it was left for Hamish to come home with the goods, working through some tough contenders to win the day!!
