Opened in 2001 as a shared facility between Tāmaki College and Auckland City Council. In 2021 the Centre reached the end of the shared agreement and the Centre returned to the College for sole use. The College put in place efforts to ensure that Community Access remained to some extent. Currently the Centre is home to the Tereora Academy, the Tāmaki Connect Trust, The Tāmaki College PE, Health and

1. SHARE: Tell a Family or Friend to Join the John Cassidy Recreation Centre Yearly Gym Membership!
2. NEW MEMBER: When they become a new member, they MUST name you at the time of sign up.
3. GET ACTIVE: The New Member must have an active membership for 2 months after signing up to the yearly membership.
4. 30 DAYS FREE: After the 2 months of joining, the person who was named during sign up will get 30 days FREE!
1 Current Member = 1 Referee: This promotion is limited to 1 Referee per Member.

COMMUNITY UPDATE | MONDAY 13 APRIL ⚠️
Tamaki College and the John Cassidy Recreation Centre will remain closed tomorrow, Monday 13th April.
This is to ensure all safety and property checks are completed before we resume Recreation Centre use and Study Classes.
All offsite sports trainings are also postponed tomorrow.
Our message is simple and clear:
- Stay home.
- Stay safe.
- Look out for one another.
We appreciate your understanding. Further updates will be shared as needed.
Please be advised, our Recreation Centre will be CLOSED today due to the imminent severe weather, including the forecast storm and the current Orange weather warning issued by MetService.
The safety of our community, staff, and facility users is our top priority, and this decision has been made with that in mind.
