What a great day for the singles and short-handed sailors. Sunshine, wind, and a perfect tide!

Congratulations to the single-handed sailors, with General Lee taking the win, followed by Perfect Storm and Indis.

In the short-handed fleet, Flojo took first, followed by Flashwave and High Voltage.

A fantastic day on the water and a great start to the series!

A huge thank you to the Richmond Yacht Club Race Committee and Bridge Boat crews for an epic effort yesterday!

With 27 boats on the water, lumpy seas, and plenty of challenges throughout the day, the event simply wouldn't happen without the dedication and commitment of our volunteers.

A special shout out to Roger, skipper of Tipan, Trish and Andrew for their work as Race Officers, and Mark and Stuart time keeping.

And a big thanks to the crew of Akarana Rib for the incredibly kind offer of a coffee - the Gold Cup Series collaboration at its best.

Richmond Yacht Club kicked off both the Doyle Sails Gold Cup Series and the Richmond Spring Regatta with a fantastic race around Waiheke Island.

A brisk south-westerly delivered fast sailing and a great day on the water for the fleet. Equilibrium took line honours, crossing the finish line first.

A huge thank you to race officials, volunteers, competitors and our sponsors Marine Deals and Seamtech for making it a great opening event of the season.
