As we are all aging every single day, its important to remember what impacts exercise has on our health and wellbeing. There shouldn't be any limitations to joining that gym or exercise group you've been thinking about for years and never got round to or felt confident enough too and i encourage you to do so more now than ever 😊🥰
Here are just a few factors to consider and working with most of my clients i always try and reinforce this and remind them there journey's aren't just temporary they will impact there lives in 5- 50 years time ❤️

Honestly so grateful to have this client in my life. From day 1 they have been outstanding with the best positive outlook on everything that is going on and always makes my day better🥰
I got asked the one day to stand in front of the Jetts logo and i was curious as to why, little did i know they then went onto show me the reason why 😊
Knowing just how much of a step out of their comfort zone writing this truly is, always gives me inspiration.

Ever find yourself with lower back pain?
One simple and effective exercise you can do to strengthen this area is 'superman' 🦸‍♂️
Not only does it work on your lower back strength, it also works on your core, glutes and flexibility in the lower lumbar area.

Key things to remember when performing this exercise:
- keep your head in a neutral position, looking at the floor
- keep your core engaged (nice and tight)
- squeeze your glutes as you extend 🍑

Ever wondered how to make an exercise harder without using progressive over load?
One simple way is increasing the time your working muscle is under tension for.
In the video below you'll see how reducing the weight and increasing the time it takes to do the movement will benefit you as much as just increasing the weight.

Here's a little post to learn more about me and the reasons and experiences that have lead me into becoming a personal trainer.

- I was born in the UK, in a little place called Cannock.
- I currently live in Auckland New Zealand.
- I've lived in 3 different counties.
- I play Hockey and have represented my county, region and just below international level.
- I have a dog called Ollie and a family dog called Bailey (both spaniels).
- Im currently a PT at Jetts Takapuna.

Reasons why i became a PT:
- Playing hockey has given me the insight and realisation just how important fitness and strength is when competing at a high level.
- I love the challenges you are faced as a PT and the rewards you get from giving someone a new look on life and a new lifestyle they can enjoy and stick to.
- I love helping people achieve their goals even if they think its too far out of reach, hard work and dedication is key.
