🧤 DO I ACTUALLY NEED A GOLF GLOVE?
If you’re new to golf, you’ve probably wondered… why is everyone wearing one? 😂
Here’s the simple answer:
⛳️ Yes — it’s definitely worth wearing one!
A golf glove can help you:
✔️ Get a better grip
✔️ Stop the club from slipping
✔️ Reduce rubbing & blisters
✔️ Feel more confident holding the club
Which hand?
👉 Right-handed golfer → glove on your left hand
👉 Left-handed golfer → glove on your right hand
💡 Your glove should feel snug, not loose.
You don’t want lots of extra material around your fingers or palm.
And you don’t have to wear it for every shot!
Many golfers take their glove off when putting to get a little more feel.

Here’s the bit that catches a lot of golfers out… the number on your iron doesn’t tell you how far it will go the loft does! A lower-numbered iron generally has less loft, while a higher-numbered iron has more loft, so the ball will usually fly lower and further with a 5-iron and higher with a 9-iron.

⛳️ SW, AW & PW — WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
If you’re a newer golfer, all those wedges can be a little confusing… and no, your Sand Wedge isn’t just for bunkers!
🏌️♀️ PW — Pitching Wedge
Your longer wedge. Great for fuller shots and getting the ball onto the green from further away.
🏌️♀️ AW — Approach/Gap Wedge
The “in-between” club!
It fills the distance gap between your PW and SW, making those awkward in-between shots much easier.
🏌️♀️ SW — Sand Wedge
Yes, it’s great from bunkers! 🏖️
But it’s also super useful around the green for shorter pitches, soft landing shots and getting out of tricky lies.
💡 Why add an AW?
Instead of trying to hit your PW really softly or your SW really hard, an AW can give you another comfortable distance to work with.
The goal isn’t to have ALL the clubs… it’s to have clubs that give you different, useful distances. 💚
