NZ summer + dogs = sunshine… and a few extra things to watch 🐾☀️
Here’s a simple checklist to keep your pup comfy + safe:
✅ Water + shade always
✅ Walk early/late (pavement burns!)
✅ Frozen treats / cooling mat
✅ Rinse off salt & sand after the beach
✅ Never leave them in the car (even “2 minutes”)
✅ Watch for overheating: heavy panting, drooling, wobbling, bright red gums
