All Users of Rosedale Park, especially those that have used the covered walkway during inclement weather will have noticed the new guttering on the building. The Guttering was supplied and installed by Roofing Limited.
This was all made possible due the generous grant funding from Upper Harbour Local Board! We appreciate the tireless work they do for our community and in particular all the green spaces which make our sport and recreation possible!

No more waterfalls off the roof to avoid😀🎉

A significant piece of work that will make the park safer for all users!

👍 Work has started to repair the road in Rosedale Park; the section from Jack Hinton Drive to Paul Matthews Road.
🚛 Large trucks have churned up and damaged the road behind the football and softball club rooms.
⚠️Vehicles are driving too fast which has made the area unsafe for everyone playing and walking in the park.
👉 Work should take about 10 weeks and along with extensive road repairs includes:
✅ height barriers and warning signs to stop trucks driving here.
✅ speed humps at suitable locations.
✅ a new road platform opposite the club office.
✅ planter boxes on the centre medium opposite the club office.
👉 While the road is closed during construction with signs installed at either end; the car parks next to the club office will be available on Friday afternoons and over the weekend. This section will be finished first.

There’s just a few finishing touches to go and the men’s outside toilets will be finished 😁

In the upstairs Boardroom....
Out with the ‘Giraffe’ carpet and in with the new carpet tiles. After 2 days of laying the tiles the room is complete!😅
It’s looking more modern even if we do say ourselves.

As the new year has started....If you think you or your business could benefit from these boardroom tables please get in touch.
We will be disposing of these soon if there is no interest.

As promised in the previous post today, some more progress photos.

The Rosedale Park Sports Charitable Trust acknowledge the generous grant funding from Foundation North and Upper Harbour Local Board which has made possible the upgrade to the Umpires area, changing rooms, showers and toilets. Hundreds of hours of volunteer work has also made this possible to keep the project within a tight budget, especially the guidance and countless hours worked by Bill Pittman.
The toilets upgrade is progressing well, while the rest is 90 to 95% finished. We’re just waiting on a few materials to finish off the Umpires area, which are in short supply at present.
Today some of the North Harbour Softball NZ umpires moved their gear into the Umpires changing room area which adds to the excitement of knowing the area will be full of international umpires in a years time for the Softball World Cup!
Also during the week the changing room was set up to see what it looked like for the Albany United Football men’s first team for next winter season. This added to the anticipation of a possible announcement in the coming weeks for the football space which is a positive development for the wider community, young and old.
More progress photos to follow.
