Kane’s been out on the track earlier this week in the DD2 getting some laps on the new track under his belt. Did some laps with the old Auckland track gearing in and then we changed it over to the new ratio’s and he was immediately a second a lap quicker! Got his lap times down into the mid 52 second mark with old tyres struggling for rear end grip. He will be going out again later this week with some new rubber on to see what different that extra grip makes (dad might also be able to get out there as well in Kane’s Energy Corse Rotax Max kart……). Still playing around with seeing what settings work best on the Tony Kart on this new track - so still heaps of room for lap time improvements.

1st ever practice day yesterday for people who volunteered with some of the work at the new race track in Manukau yesterday. Kane got out there in the DD2 to try it all out on this new track. He came off the track with a huge smile on his face! It's an incredible track, layout and facility. A lot of people have put in a lot of work over these last few years to get to the point where we all are today - and we all owe them a debt of gratitude (too many names to mention but most of us know who they all are!). Hopefully it will be open shortly for all to regularly use.

The final of the KartSport Auckland Christmas Meeting DD2/KZ2 field. Onboard with the rear camera on Kane's kart with #76 Simon MOSEBY (2025 KartSport Auckland DD2 Club Points Champion) chasing him around track (don't worry about #92 - he is in the KZ2 class not the DD2 field). Simon and Kane got very up close and personal!!!!!

The last ever meeting at the KartSport Auckland track in Rosebank Road. A beautiful day for it all to end on. Historic photos being taken of everyone in their karts racing today. Racing starts at 10am this morning.

Saturdays Christmas Party Club Day at KartSport Auckland is looking like cracker weather! Bring the sun screen - look at that temperature high expected…. ☀️🥵

Final Club Day of 2025 is next SATURDAY the 6th of December (not the usual Sunday…..) at KartSport Auckland’s Rosebank Road track. It will be a huge day as it is also the last meeting at the Rosebank Road track - the home of Auckland karting since the 60’s. After this meeting, the next time you come out to see Kane race in 2026 will be at the brand new track in Colin Dale Motorsport Park in Prices Road, Manukau.

Kane will be racing in the DD2 field again and is keen to take revenge on the field after all the mechanical difficulties we had during the Club Championships a few weeks ago.

Long range weather forecast is looking great at this stage. Racing starts at 10am Saturday morning. We will be in our usual trailer spot. See you all there!

Club Champs practice day all done and dusted. Started off with good pace and we made a few minor changes up front and found another couple of tenths - so ended up running some super competitive times by the end of the day. All starts again tomorrow at 10am with qualifying - and from there we will see how the day unfolds. Meant to be a nice fine day tomorrow as well. See you all there tomorrow - usual trailer site.

KartSport Auckland’s Club Championships are on this Sunday! Weather is meant to be great as well. It will be the last club champs being held at the Rosebank Road track - over 65 years of kart racing history coming to an end shortly……

Kane is racing and will be competing in the DD2 field (dad’s old kart which has now been commandeered and restickered with his name and number…..) so he will be going quicker than he would in his usual Rotax ‘lights’ field (because it’s all about the speed isn’t it!).

Racing starts at 10am Sunday morning. We will be in our usual spot with the trailer so everyone is welcome to come on down! See you there!!!!
