It's always with a great sense of pride when we are able to post about Rangers who are taking the next step in their careers!

That's exactly what we can do now as CALLUM RAE and CHASKA CHAN embark on their next footballing journey which takes them to pastures new ... in America!

The boys have been selected to attend the University of Arkansas Cossatot to play for the COLTS!!

Their last game for West Coast Rangers will be on 25th July, away at North Shore United and I'm sure there'll be a few fond farewells before they leave on the 29th.

A first half strike from Jessie Christie took Rangers into the break a goal ahead, but if it was not for Maddy Day in goal, the final score could have been a lot different as she had an outstanding game making a number of excellent saves!

Tara Baker scored a breakaway second goal in the second half to make the final score ... West Coast Rangers 2 Auckland United 0

Rangers go into the break a goal to the good after a Jessie Christie corner was misjudged by the AU defence and the ball ended in the far corner!

They battled but couldn't quite get ahead and in the end Takapuna came out on top!

Goals from Josh Armitt and Brodie Putt got Rangers close but they couldn't quite get level at Taharoto Park.

The 23's did it ... now the firsts have to do the same!
Rangers 2 down at the break ... but we know they dont like to do things the easy way!!

It's all over at Taharoto Park and Rangers and Takapuna could not be separated in a pulsating match!

Rangers went into half time a goal down and Takapuna went two ahead after the break ... but a Jamie Cotter strike followed by a Hamish Duggal special levelled things up ... and that's how it stayed to the end, with the points shared !
