Auckland Marist Touch

Last Friday was the final night of our touch module. We closed off with prizegivings for each of our grades. We also ended with an incredible Cook Island performance from one of our teams. We were extremely lucky to have been an audience to such a wonderful group.

The purpose of this module has always been about bringing our community together. It’s been successful in doing that. We’ve had some challenges but have tried to work pragmatically to address them. We appreciate that our community have been understanding.

Thanks to all those who have supported the Auckland Marist Touch initiative this season. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made every effort to make it work. Without our volunteers we would not have been able to meet the needs of our community. Thank you to all of the teams and individuals who have remained patient and loyal to our purpose.

We’ve been humbled by the continued support of our community. We have learnt a lot from this season and will make sure that we continuously improve. Your continued support is imperative to this modules success.

For those looking to join (or continue) the Auckland Marist club during the winter season, preseason is beginning early in the new year. Seniors start on the 14th of January and the First Junior muster is on the 14th of February.

YEAR 1-6 cancelled thanks to the weather. Year 7&8 and adults is still on.

Prizegiving still up in the clubrooms which are warm and dry and food is available. 🍟🍔🤙🏼

Year 1-6 prizegiving starts at 5.50pm in clubrooms
All teams to be sitting in their team lines by 5.45pm

Year 7-8 prizegiving from 6:30pm - 6:40pm

Entertainment and prizegiving for Open Mens & Social Mixed starts at 8.15pm

If you haven't paid your team fees please do so immediately otherwise your prize will go to another team

PLEASE NOTE: our convenor Norelle isn’t with us tonight as her talented daughter Ayla is playing on the Gold Coast.

This means our evening is solely being run by your Marist volunteer team. Chrissy and Theresa are on touch control, come and say hi and please be patient if we seem a bit lost!!

We have food downstairs for sale and plenty of SUNSCREEN as it’s going to be another warm one ☀️☀️☀️☀️. Kitchen is closed but the club will be open, with a kids movie on. 🍿

Our sausage sizzle was so popular last week we are running it again tomorrow! 👍🏼
