Paddle and run your way to Rangitoto Island’s summit and back in this inaugural year of City to Summit. Complete the 10km return paddle leg from Takapuna Beach to Rangitoto Island in any of the following craft; surf ski (single or double), ocean ski, SUP (12'6ft and 14ft), waka-ama, surf boat or canoe. Upon reaching Rangitoto Island you, or at least two people in your crew, will run the 6km to the

Anyone keen on doing coast to coast this year- Its a free entry and only cost will be to get down to the south island and sort accommodation, thats it! It's a team of 3, for Team Barracuda, one doing the run, one doing the cycle and they are needing a keen paddler to take on the 68km paddle. Pm if your interested or k ow of anyone who is !!

To all the people who came do and raced yesterday - it was amazing seeing you all complete it and everyone did it well under the time limit - awesome work! See you all at next year’s event.

The below list of COMPULSORY SAFETY GEAR is required to be worn by all single, double ski AND SUP competitors. Surf Boat, Canoe and 6-man waka MUST have PFD on their craft for their athletes.

Personal Flotation Devices (Lifejackets, PFD’s): all single, double ski and SUP competitors must wear- Surf Boat, Canoe and 6 man waka MUST have PFD on their craft for their athletes.

Leg Leash: All single and double ski competitors must wear a suitable Leg-Leash or Paddle Leash, affixing the participant to their craft

High-Vis Paddle wear - must be worn! Participants should wear a high-vis vest.

Suitable Paddle wear: Race organisers will be on the lookout for ‘underdressed’ athletes.

ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDED GEAR

• Whistle: Participants are advised to also carry a pea-less whistle affixed to their PFD to attract attention.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

➢ 08.30 - RACE REGISTRATIONS OPEN & GEAR DROP OFF (Takapauna Reserve) - All pre registrations and on the day registered are required to check in at this time.All gear must be in a bag, the bag must not be bigger than a school bag.

➢ 09.30 – REGISTRATIONS CLOSE

➢ 09.45 – RACE BRIEFING - Registration tent.

➢ 10.00 – ATHLETE WARM UP

➢ 10.20 – ATHLETE WARM UP ENDS

➢ 10.30- RACE START – set off in waves

➢ 14.00 – RACE CUT OFF

➢ 15.00 – PRIZE GIVING – Franc’s Bar and restaurant

People who are bringing a trailer down to the event - Takapuna boat ramp trailer parking is overnight. If you wanted to make sure you get a park, drop the trailer there Saturday night!
