More than a workout.

Many people come to our centres for fitness, but stay because of the people.
The instructor who remembers your name. The lane-swimmer you see every week. The friends you've made through exercise.
Because sometimes the best part of being active is the community around you.

Belonging starts with showing up.

A sense of belonging doesn't have to start with knowing everyone in the room.
Sometimes it starts with turning up for your swim, your workout, or your favourite class and seeing familiar faces.
Every visit is an opportunity to connect, feel welcomed, and be part of something bigger.
πŸ’™ This Mental Health Awareness Week, we're celebrating the power of belonging.

We belong together.
Mental Health Awareness Week is nearly here, and this year's theme is simple but powerful:
πŸ’™ Belonging Matters.

Research shows that feeling connected to others is important for our wellbeing. That's why the communities we build around us matter so much. Our pool and leisure centres are filled with people from all walks of life, connected by shared goals, shared experiences, and a shared sense of community.

Whether you've been a member for years or are thinking about visiting for the first time, know that there's a place for you here. Because wellbeing grows when people feel they belong.

More than a workout. A community πŸ’™

⚠️ Did you know?
If a glass bottle breaks near the pool, we must close the pool to keep everyone safe. 🚧

Our team then needs to check the whole pool and surrounding area and remove every tiny piece of glass. This can take a while - but safety has to come first.

πŸ’§ You can help us avoid closures.

Please bring non‑glass bottles when you visit the centre.
Your choice helps us keep our pools open, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you! 🌊

🐠 Helpful tips for our little swimmers

For some little ones, wearing a swim cap for the first time can feel a bit different. That's why we recommend trying one at home before lessons start. A quick practice in the bath or shower can help build confidence and make lesson time feel more familiar.

πŸ’‘ Prefer something a little softer? Lycra caps are a comfortable alternative to silicone caps and can be easier to put on.

πŸ’§ Swimming caps are required for all Learn to Swim students aged 3 years and over.

Happy swimming! πŸ’¦

Kia ora everyone,

Our spa pool is currently closed due to temperature issues and is undergoing repairs.

The sauna is also temporarily closed as we’re awaiting parts for the door, and it will remain closed until our contractors can complete the repairs.

We hope to have both facilities back open as soon as possible.
