Congratulations to Alan and Marjorie whom I married last weekend at the gorgeous Matua Villa in Kumeu.
There I met the legendary DeeJay Ray, veteran of over 2000 weddings. Thanks Ray for your Celebrant Rating of 10 out of 10. What an honour!

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Weston, who are having the trip of a lifetime and decided to get married while here in NZ. Here we are in the gorgeous little hidden back yard of the Garden Shed at 470 Mt Eden Rd.

Congratulations to Dickie and Jett, who introduced me to the beautiful new Hyundai Marine Sports Centre in Okahu bay. (What I call the Royal Akarana Yacht Club.) We held the wedding in this upstairs room, with the glorious harbour outlook. Thanks to the talented Events Team there, who got very creative with the flowers.

It is always wonderful to receive thanks for doing a job well.

On Friday afternoon I discovered another beautiful venue: the corner meeting room in the "new" Devonport Library. Congratulations to Zina and Zac upon taking this exciting new step on their joint journey through life. Zina is a wedding photographer, and for once is on the other end of the camera. Funnily enough, I was wearing peach too.....

At the Waipu Market over Labour Weekend, I found a beautiful alternative for a wedding dress....recycled linen and lace...

Discovered a new venue this week: Highbury House at 110 Hinemoa St Birkenhead. The front window has a beautiful garden display.

Found the ideal venue for Registry Office Weddings: Fusion Bridal at 77 Mokoia Rd, Birkenhead. Also known as V & R Bridal, they are wedding planners as well as designers of fabulous outfits. Look here for frocks....frocks....flowers and more.....frocks........

LAKE HOUSE ARTS CENTRE...I have found a new venue to use for small registry office weddings. A magnificent old restored villa, filled with beautiful art work and surrounded by lovely gardens. A reasonable room rate with cafe attached. Located between Rosmini College on Fred Thomas Drive and the Akoranga Bus station. Close to the motorway off ramp at Esmonde Rd, Takapuna.

We had a spring photo competition in the Village where I live, and I discovered this little treasure hidden among the lilies. I titled it "The Happy Couple". No. I didn't win a prize for it.
