The Gloworm team drove to Canon City, Colorado to post up for Royal Gorge Gravel 🏜️ We braved thunder and lightening, rain, and wind.. hot temps and relentless sun.. oh! and one of the most beautiful and challenging gravel courses in the West! (as far as we’re concerned, at least 😉)

What a great way to connect with our gravel community and the crew over at Royal Gorge Gravel. Congrats to everyone who raced!

The Royal Gorge Gravel shakeout ride prior to the big event! Gloworm team member Joelle helped lead the ride the day before the event, meeting with racers, and chattin it up.

We braved some classic Colorado summer weather and helped break down the expo area during an afternoon thunderstorm. Exciting!

You've clocked out of work and hopped in your rig. The dash reads 6:00 PM, and you think to yourself, "I've got just enough time for a few laps, eh?"

When you leave the trailhead, the light from the setting sun casts long shadows on the trail ahead, but soon it will fall behind the mountains to the West. Your trusty bike light will illuminate the way. Dusk falls fast and the sky becomes dark, lodgepole and pine etched against a blue sky, turning black as night begins to set in. In the dark, things move slower and you feel smooth and fast. The seasons are changing, and soon the sun will set before the work day ends. You savor the feeling of riding at night in late summer.

Earlier this year, Gloworm athlete .cc set out to build a gravel bike that he could enjoy when out training and having fun, but could also be flipped into a world class competitive rig, just by changing his mindset into race mode.
