โ›ต Yachting New Zealand clubs will move to a new banded affiliation fee model from 2027, following its adoption at Saturdayโ€™s AGM.

The decision follows a year-long review, committed to at last yearโ€™s AGM, that included club feedback, individual submissions and a nationwide Club Roadshow to help develop a fairer, more sustainable approach to affiliation fees.

From Worser Bay to the world stage! ๐ŸŒ

Yachting New Zealandโ€™s RลชNฤ€ programme has claimed a major international accolade, winning the Education and Training Award at the 2026 Sport Positive Awards.

RลชNฤ€ was shortlisted alongside global sporting organisations and institutions including FIS, World Taekwondo, UEFA, Golf Ireland, Columbia University and Sheffield United Community Foundation โ€” making the win all the more special๐Ÿ‘

The award recognises RลชNฤ€โ€™s innovative approach to using sailing to connect young people with environmental education, science, sustainability and mฤtauranga Mฤori.

New Zealandโ€™s school sailing teams dominated the 2026 Interdoms at Royal Akarana Yacht Club, winning both the open and female divisions to reclaim the Australia-New Zealand title.

Auckland Grammar School and WGHS - Westlake Girls High School then went unbeaten to claim the Schools Trophy titles, with Westlake Girls making it four straight Interdoms victories. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟโ›ต

๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Sean Herbert has claimed his first WingFoil Racing World Cup title in Sardinia after a dominant week that saw him win eight qualifying races and top the leaderboard.

Herbert then held his nerve in a dramatic three-race medal series, winning the deciding final to secure the biggest victory of his career.

After leading the iQFOiL U23 World Champs in Poland from start to finish, Aimee Bright admits there were plenty of moments when the pressure of staying on top felt "scary and stressful".

New Zealand has a brand new sailing world champion! ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐ŸŒŠ

Aimee Bright has claimed gold at the IQFOiL Class Under-23 World Championships in Poland, coming from behind late to beat Norwayโ€™s Maya Gysler in a dramatic Grand Final. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ”ฅ

Aimee dominated the event, winning 11 of 20 qualifying races and leading the regatta from start to finish to cap a breakout season on the world stage. ๐Ÿ’จโ›ต

Her stellar year has also included silver medals at the senior Europeans and Olympic Classes Regatta. ๐Ÿฅˆ๐ŸŒŸ

Wishing Aimee Bright all the best for tonightโ€™s medal series at the iQFOiL Under-23 World Championships in Puck, Poland! ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ

Aimee added another win and two second places on Day 5 to finish qualifying with 11 wins from 20 course and slalom races โ€” and she has led the regatta from Day 1.

She heads straight into the Grand Final alongside second-placed Maya Gysler of Norway, with a chance to go one better than her silver medal at last yearโ€™s event.

Yellow bib secured. ๐ŸŸก

Sean Herbert won three of five races on Day 2 of the WingFoil Racing World Cup in Sardinia to lead Italyโ€™s Alessandro Tomasi by two points and qualify for the Gold Fleet!

Fellow Kiwi Kosta Gladiadis also made the top 25 cut and sits 14th overall.

The next two days will decide who reaches the medal race. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ
