Well done to all the sailors at today's winter sprints. It was a very gusty windy day with a peak gust on Marama of 28.5kns. Great effort to everyone that gave it a go.

Super proud of our Head Coach Rowan and coach Sean who surged up the leaderboard with two 2nds in the final races in the 49er Junior Worlds last night. The pair finished in 7th Overall - what an awesome result!

The Kiwi brothers saved their best for last at the 2026 49er Junior World Championship in Medemblik, producing back-to-back second-place finishes on the final day to secure an outstanding seventh overall in a fleet of more than 50 boats.

Competing together at a junior world championship for the first time, Sean and Rowan recorded nine top-10 finishes from 12 races against the world's best young 49er crews.

Let’s go Rowan and Sean!

The Kensington brothers are making a charge towards the top 10 at the 49er Junior World Championships in Medemblik. 🇳🇿⛵

Sean and Rowan sit 14th overall after six races, with top-10 finishes in all but one race and just two points separating them from the overall top 10.

With the final day of the preliminary series ahead, the Auckland duo will be looking to secure their place in the gold fleet — where the top 25 boats will battle it out for the title.
