Michael is a high-performance coach with
local/overseas experience and continues to play at a

and to help elevate our players of all levels.

Fisher Cup / Cucksey Shield 2026

Last weekend saw another epic day of club tennis across East Auckland, with the annual Fisher Cup and Cucksey Shield competitions bringing together players from Howick Tennis Club, Bucklands Beach Tennis Club, Koru Tennis Club, Pakuranga Tennis Club and Cockle Bay Tennis Club 🎾

Howick put in a strong showing across both competitions, finishing an impressive 3rd place in both the Fisher Cup and Cucksey Shield against some tough local competition.

** CHARMAN CUP FOR OUR JUNIORS **

Our Howick Tennis Club Junior players participated in the annual Charman Cup Tournament this month, which has been held for over 30 years amongst the local clubs of Howick, Sunnyhills, Cockle Bay, and Bucklands Beach.

Congratulations to all particpants, it’s great to see our local tennis clubs coming together & giving the kids a great opportunity & experience to play in this tournament 🎾

Junior Interclub has now finished up for summer, thanks to everyone who helps make it possible & the juniors who show up each week & try their best! Keep the kids active, follow our socials for updates on junior club days at howick tennis club 🎾

Holtom Shines at Tennis NZ Masters Event!

Howick Tennis Club member Angela Holtom delivered an outstanding performance at the recent Tennis NZ Masters event, returning home with a full set of medals across three disciplines.

Partnering with former Howick Tennis Club member John Lawrence, Holtom secured silver in the Mixed Doubles 🥈. And in the Women’s Doubles, Holtom teamed up with Jane Geldard from Thames Valley, with the duo also claiming silver 🥈.
Fantastic results after strong campaigns against quality opposition.

Completing an impressive week, Holtom added a bronze medal in the Singles, capping off a well-rounded and highly successful tournament 🥉.

A fantastic result for Angela and a great reflection of the strength of Howick Tennis Club members competing on the national stage.
