2023 season has kicked off!

Last Thursday our year 5/6 team meet for the first time. We decided to ease the girls into it by playing a few games and then enjoying pizza while getting to meet players and parents/caregivers. We hope to have more of these sessions throughour the season.

This year we decided to only have one team to ease back into it.
As inflation goes up, food prices aren’t getting any better, we want to do what we can to help our community so we are not charging any club fees this year.
We will be doing fundraising throughout the year to help pay for our expenses eg. Training night lights, umpires, gear…etc etc.

We would love your support this season and all future seasons.

Keep an eye out for our raffles/fundraisers this season ☺️

We hope you and your whanau have all been keeping well.
Last season Takanini Netball Club had a break, but not this year. We are back for 2023 and our registrations are open.

As we have a small team on our committee we unfortunately cannot run a number of teams without more support. We have decided to limit our teams to Future Ferns.
To be able to have more teams we need volunteers join our committee, coach, manage, umpire. Without more volunteers we cannot continue to keep our long standing club going. More hands make light work.

We have a few spaces left to fill the team, please fill out the registration form to join the team.

Senior team - If we have any past players who are interested in playing again this season, please let us know ASAP. We would love to be able to put a team in and play for our own club.

Any other grades we will discuss as we go, depending on the number of players and volunteers we have come in.

It’s good to be back. We look forward to hearing from all our amazing friends and supporters of our club rushing to join us ☺️

Takanini Netball Club are holding a Special General Meeting on Tuesday 17th January to decide the future committee who will take the club into the 2023 season, and beyond. The meeting will be held at Blondies All Day Cafe, Bar and Restaurant, Great South Road, Drury starting at 7pm.

Hello to all those who have supported Takanini Netball Club. This post is to announce to all that it has been decided, due to various circumstances, that Takanini Netball Club will not be registering any teams for the 2022 season. The plan is that the club will hibernate until the end of this year when we will start work on getting back up and running for the 2023 season.
Thank you to all of you who support the club.

Takanini Netball Club invite players who wish to trial for Senior grade. Age range is open, but be mindful that this team is aiming for Prem Grade, or similar, level netball.
Trial dates/times are Monday 28th February at 6pm, and Wednesday 2nd March at 6pm. Trials will be held at Papakura Netball Centre on the outdoor courts. You are only required to come for one of the nights, but you may come to both.
