MESSAGE FROM THE COACH
I am so proud of our talented group of athletes, coaches, management, photographer and traveling supporters for the way that they performed and stood tall, representing their country from the mats and the stands.
We had many frustrating challenges that were outside of our control but kept our composure and focus with the tournament being our main task.
The workload seemed never-ending at the tournament with little downtime. But between the coaches on the floor looking after the athletes and the management from the stands keeping an eye on timetables of each ring and feeding the information down to the coaches you could say it was a seamless operation.
The conditions we all had to deal with of heat and humidity in the arena had its challenges.
For the athletes to keep their composure and perform in those conditions was difficult, but they came out and gave it their all!
We had a mixed bag of results during each day with World Champions ๐ and podium finishes ๐
๐ฅ๐ฅ.
Yes, we had success, but we also had disappointments. So I hope our athletes take away learning from both being successful and their failures giving them the desire and hunger to learn, improve and continue in their development in Taekwon-Do and life skills to another campaign or something they choose to pursue in the future.
As I said before, I am very proud of these athletes. For each of them to step on the tournament mats on the world stage can be a daunting experience not only for the first timers but also for the team members that have competed in the past.
So there is no failure if you decide to cross over the edge of the ring as long as you grow as a person from the experience of it.
Thank you to all of you! โค๏ธ๐
