Think you can land the biggest bluefin tuna this winter?

From 1 July to 31 August, Big Fish Fishing Club members will battle it out to claim the title and win a bottle of whisky, generously donated by Haxe Services Ltd.

🏆 Prize: Bottle of whisky for the angler who weighs in the heaviest bluefin tuna.

There’s only one winner, so fuel up the boat, set the gear, and get ready for an epic challenge on the water.

📅 Competition closes at midnight on 31 August.

Rum Fish for July is a Measure Mat Month again.

This measure mat competition has really taken off, with lots of fish being sent in for our monthly comp — great to see everyone getting involved.🙌

This month is a Mystery Length between 35–50cm 👀

So, make sure you:
✅ Measure your fish on the mat
✅ Take a clear photo
✅ Send it in to be in to win!

A big thank you to Josh Carmine from Drowning Prevention Auckland Aotearoa for taking the time to give us an informative safety talk on land-based fishing safety.

Josh showcased the excellent Hutchwilco Profish life jacket and highlighted the importance of wearing the correct safety equipment when fishing from rocks, beaches, wharves, and other land-based locations.

He also handed out useful land-based fishing safety flyers, providing reminders on what to do before heading out and how to stay safe while fishing off the rocks.

We greatly appreciate Josh's support and his commitment to helping keep our fishing community safe on and around the water.

You must register between 8:00am Friday 19th and 12:00pm Saturday 20th to be eligible to fish.
