We’re stoked to announce that the Fourforty Gravity Enduro will be part of the New Zealand Enduro Series for 2027! 🇳🇿

⚡ FULL E-BIKE CLASS
E-bikes are in! We’ll have a full dedicated e-bike class as part of the weekend.

🎟 ENTRIES OPEN 1 NOVEMBER AT 5PM

We’re expecting entries to fill FAST and there’s a good chance this one will sell out, so set a reminder and be ready when entries go live.

We’re kicking off our first 440 Trail Clearing Day this Wednesday at 9am!

We need your help to clear the trails and get 440 back open this season! There’s plenty to get through following the forestry work, so the more hands we have, the quicker we can get the park riding again.

This Wednesday we’ll be focusing on getting Gum Diggers, the Downhill Track and some other key trail links cleared and ready for opening.

🍔 Food and drinks provided

Please bring rakes, spades and any other trail-clearing tools/equipment you have. Even if you can only help for a few hours, it’ll make a massive difference.

Come lend a hand, catch up with the 440 crew and help us get the park OPEN AGAIN!

OPENING UPDATE

Firstly, apologies for the radio silence over the past few months. We know there’s been plenty of speculation and rumours circulating about the future of Fourforty, so it’s time for an update.

After a long winter and months of negotiations behind the scenes, we’re very pleased to confirm that Fourforty will be opening for the 2026/27 season!

There are still a few final details being worked through, so we can’t officially announce everything just yet — but the future of Fourforty is looking exciting.

Trailpro has now moved in and the rebuild is underway, focusing first on getting the key trails back and ready to ride.

Beyond simply reopening, there are some very exciting plans to expand what Fourforty has to offer under new ownership. More on that soon… 👀

It’s our last day of the season today.

Mega avalanche is on at 3pm. Free entry, all you need is a pass to get up the hill. Best costume wins prizes, it’s gonna be a hell of a race to end the season.

Details for racing: plan to get on the shuttle before 2.30pm, push or ride up the hill above the shuttle drop for about 10 mins and you will see the start line. It will be a Le Mans mass start from there and we will be racing a gravel road, low pressure, gum diggers 2, Tapotu with the finish being at the base area.

This coming weekend is our last for the season! This is the last chance to ride Fourforty before a heap of your favourite trails are lost due to harvesting.

Saturday and Sunday will be normal operating hours from 9am - 5pm.

Sunday at 3pm we will be holding our Mega Avalanche, see older post for event details.

Trail closures due to harvesting:
- Pink Stoat, High Viz and associated trails
- Ruapehu DH
- High Fat Low Carb

Absolute cracker autumn weather right now! All trails are open this weekend including Pink Stoat and Ruapehu DH.

Get out and make the most of these conditions as we have just 2 weekends left of the season now with our last day being Sunday May 10th.

There’s some changes to lower High Viz trail in the form of a new road being built. Just follow this and look out for the Chinese Laundry intersection.
