A big congratulations to our TP man on shredding the boards in Hong Kong with his kiwi team mates and taking the Teams Pursuit win in round 2 of the World Cup. Riding 3.52 in the qualifying then putting the Danes away in the final with a 3.49 🚀💥

A little late to the party but just to wrap up all things TOS:

The last day set the tone for a traditional old school Southland stage. 12 degrees and sideways rain. The ITT was ridden with moderate intensity by the guys to hold position and be ready for the afternoons main course the 77km hammer back from Winton to Invercargill where it all began a week earlier. Talking through the course the guys were all well aware of the right hand turn a few kms after the start where the race would be slammed into the left side gutter and remain there for some time. Expectations did not disappoint and we scored well placing 4 in the lead group that eventually took minutes. With the boys all working in the main echelon they ensured their places up front in order to get ready for the stage finish. Unfortunately heading into town a group of 3 including the two rivals for the Sprints classification had other ideas and went clear with Logan Currie providing the horse power. Trying their best on the final laps of the finish circuit and both took turns to close the gap to the front but it was not quite enough. Maui and both took spots in the top 10 to round out a great day of bike racing on tour.

Overall it was a great Tour for us, a stage win, consistent performances and teamwork like no other. We look forward to Novembers event where we will have some new equipment providers and some change in goals for some of the team which will be exciting 💥

Stay tuned 😎

Stage 6 from The ILT Velodrome to Bluff was one of the Tours longer days at 155km taking in some beautiful rolling countryside en route to one of the most brutal finishes in a stage race anywhere in the world. With an abundance of sprints on offer and a two way battle underway for the jersey between rival teams a break was never going to escape until there was a break in the competition.  was keen to get up the road and made it happen some 50km out but came back after seeing the move would not stick due to the pace of the peloton behind.  Coming into Bluff the move was for the team to move forward as the first ramp neared and to launch up and over and onto the climb proper for him to then be positioned to ride with the front selection. We love it when these tactics play out and Eddy was set as the gradient went to over 20%, holding position in the group until the 2nd to last bend coming in for 12th. As a team we were super consistent again with in 21st and in 24th.  Great riding by a team that is all in for each other.

What a day for the team and ! The guys were once again up for the task of making the days break with no exceptions, but it was a hard fought advantage that was controlled all day with the advantage never getting over 2.40.  Young and once again did the hard yards supporting the team doing the feeds, its no easy task gathering up empties then heading back up with and extra 3kg down your suit! Switching from the peloton to the break we could see that Dan was managing the workload well, climbing seated and fuelling consistently, but he communicated he could see the gap coming down and he’d need to take action as the climbs came and split the break, pushing forward with James Krzanich and Will Cooper they managed to just stay intact as the pointy end of the peloton crested the last berg of the day. Coming into town with 5 in the front group the guys positioned Dan toward the front so he could execute the previous nights meeting plan, railing the inside line and “putting all my faith in my tyres” he managed to create a race winning gap that he held powering round the Lumsden horseshoe to through the arms up on the line 🙌
