Last week, a fantastic initiative from Inclusive GymBad - PNG combined the two to empower community members. Inclusion matters, and these events are key to celebrate the abilities of all. 🌟

Over the weekend we held the first of our weekly Wider Auckland Intellectual Disability Inclusive Badminton sessions 🏸

Active Badminton Centre was buzzing with energy as our players learned new skills and made new friends. With a range of skills, all our participants had the opportunity to challenge themselves and enjoy being active.

Now the dust has settled on Sydney, can you believe how finals day ended?

Muhammad Rafi Zafran Ferary is a champion, defeating Huang Yu 21-19, 15-21, 21-7 in a 70-minute final. Raphael Deloy and Sydney Tjonadi made their first international final in only their second tournament together, and finished as runners-up in the mixed doubles.

Our region had plenty to be proud of in Lidcombe.

Solomon Jr. Padiz/Julius Villabrille 🇵🇭 are the ROKETTO Sydney International 2026 men’s doubles champions.

They bested Chinese Taipei’s Shao Hua Chiu/Lin Bing-Wei in a three-game thriller.

Final score: 21-18, 18-21, 21-13

Lu/Chang take the crown 👑

In a strong performance, Lu Chen/Yun Jung Chang (TPE) win the mixed doubles final at the ROKETTO Sydney International 2026.

A great effort from their Kiwi/Australian opponents, Deloy/Tjonadi, but the Chinese Tapei pair couldn’t be stopped.

Final score: 21-13, 21-16.

Huge result from Muhammad Rafi Zafran Ferary 🇦🇺

Ferary dominated the decider to win his first international title in Australia 🌏

Over 70 minutes, he battled Chinese Taipei’s Huang Yu. The final score was 21-19, 15-21, 21-7.

Victory for Ishida/Sato 💪

The Japanese pair of Arisa Ishida/Akari Sato win the women’s doubles final at the ROKETTO Sydney International 2026!

They outplayed compatriots Sora Hatakeyama/Yumi Tanabe to win 21-14, 21-10.
