2025 CHRISTMAS CHEER DAY 🎄🎅

Beautiful conditions for our annual Christmas Cheer Day last Saturday.

Well done to the winners Katherine & Graham Jones, finishing on a combined total of 82 points! In second place was Sean Mayor & James Stevens on 79 points, followed by Kim Perry & Mark Smith on 76 points.

🏆 2025 FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIPS:

⛳️ A big congratulations to father-son duo Warren & Josh Leitch, for winning the 2025 Men’s Foursomes Championship with two impressive rounds of 69 and 76 (145). In second place was James Hart & Adam Gibson, finishing on a 36 hole total of 155. The 36 hole net competition was won by John Jackson & Blake Shattock (135) on a countback to runners up Kia Peautagi & Semi Tokaduadua (135) 👏🏼

⛳️ The 2025 Women’s Foursomes Championship was won by Nga Peautagi & Aggie Head with a gross 79, followed by Rhonda Sowter & Donna Newton with a gross 90 c/b. The net component was won by April Hwang & Lisa Hong with a net 69 on a countback to runners up Ricky Leitch & Elaine Murray (69) 🙌🏼

⛳️ The 2025 Mixed Foursomes Championship was played two weeks later in fantastic conditions. Mike & Ricky Leitch took the honours with a gross 80, followed by Kia & Nga Peautagi on a gross 81 and Semi Tokaduadua & Rhonda Sowter on a gross 88 c/b. Kim Perry & Mark Baxter took home the net trophy with a net 68, followed by Kevin Chung & Clara Kim on a net 69 and Sang Gun Shim & Ally Yoon on a net 70 c/b 🤩

A huge congratulations to MGC Member Josh Leitch, who competed as our Senior Club Champion at the recent Champion of Champions event held at Akarana. Josh carded two superb rounds of 69, 67, to win the event by 6 shots! This was Josh’s 8th Senior Champion of Champions title!! 🤯😮‍💨

A big congratulations must also go to our Men’s team which consisted of Josh Leitch, Chris Timoti (Intermediate reserve) and Chris Young, who defeated the entire field, and took home the Men’s Rosebowl in the teams event! Well done guys - a great effort from everyone involved. The club couldn’t be prouder 🥹👏🏼
