🌼⭐️💛 Daffodil Day 💛⭐️🌼

Yesterday we were all yellow for Daffodil Day! 🌼

We held a fundraiser at our indoor night where we waived our usual shooting fees and asked for a gold coin donation instead, with all funds raised going to the Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day appeal.

We also ran a fantastic raffle, with two $50 vouchers generously donated by local Franklin businesses Mitre 10 MEGA and Franklin Country Meats. A huge thank you to both businesses for supporting us! 💛

To make everyone’s generosity go even further, Franklin County Archers matched every dollar raised, dollar for dollar!

It was such a great night and a wonderful reminder of what an awesome community of archers we have. Thank you to everyone who came along, dressed in yellow, bought raffle tickets, donated and got behind such a worthwhile cause. We even managed to squeeze in plenty of fun popping balloons and bubbles along the way! 🎈🏹🫧

And now for the really exciting part…

🌼💛 Together, we raised an amazing $630 for the Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day appeal! 💛🌼

We are incredibly proud of our little archery community and what we can achieve when we come together. Thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success! 💛🏹

Kia Ora team!! One of our archers, Elisa Prattley, a student journalist at AUT is conducting a short survey on the financial accessibility of sports gear! It's 100% anonymous and will only take 3 minutes to fill out. If you have a few minutes, please support Elisa by filling it out and sharing your experiences! Every response helps 🏹💙

🌼⭐️💛 Daffodil Day 💛⭐️🌼

We are holding a Daffodil Day fundraiser on Thursday 27th August to help support the Cancer Society.

On the day we’re waiving all of our usual fees for our indoor sessions and instead asking for just a gold coin donation to shoot and hire gear (if needed).

Even better, Franklin County Archers will match every dollar raised, with all funds donated to the Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day Appeal. 🌼💛

Come along dressed in yellow or something floral if you have it, and don’t forget to bring a little extra change for the raffle we’ll be running!

If you’re not already booked in, email [email protected] to secure your spot on the line.

Come have a shoot, have some fun, and help us raise as much as we can for a fantastic cause!

Better temperature today. About 36°C but humidity was right up there. Everyone had better day out there. Tomorrow is the Marked animal 28. Hoping for cooler temps to get the best out of this round. Some fantastic stands built to get us some elevation.

Not only are our club members in Yankton dealing with extreme temperatures, 47°C yesterday, we are also on watch for this kind of weather. (Photo of last night from car park at accomodation) Currently this Thursday has a forecast for thunder and lightening. If that occurs we may be exiting the courses early

A few snaps from today’s adventures at WFAC 26 Yankton. FCA (and Mij) visits Dakota Archery and Outdoor Sports, and NFAA head quarters. Mij did not not come for a walk around the range due to the extreme humidity and temp soaring in the 40’s. Registration, Gear inspection and opening ceremony tomoro.

All the best to Jill, Jayne, Yvonne and Hendrik as they start the IFAA World Field Championships!

Round 1 starts on Monday 27th July at 9am (US CDTime).
