Behind every carrier is a mum with her own story. ❤️

A story about becoming a parent.

About figuring things out as she goes.

About the days that feel amazing and the days that feel really, really hard.

About learning a new version of herself.

And about finding little moments of joy along the way.

That's why we love our KangaCrew.

Because every mum who walks through the door brings something different.

Different experiences. Different challenges. Different babies. Different reasons for showing up.

And every one of those stories deserves to be welcomed.

Today, we're celebrating the mums who make our Kanga community what it is.

The ones who turn up even when the morning has been chaos.

The ones who cheer on the mum beside them.

The ones who remind us that we're all figuring this motherhood thing out together.

Because Kanga isn't just about who can do the biggest squat. It's about who we become when we support each other. 😂❤️

Tell us something about yourself that your KangaCrew might not know!

Let's get to know the people behind those carriers. 👇

WORLD FOOD DAY 🍎

A little reminder for the mums who remember everyone's snacks but their own…

Mum needs feeding too!

You pack the nappy bag.

You remember the wipes.

You organise the bottles, the snacks, the spare clothes and approximately 47 other things.

And then you realise it's 2pm and you've eaten half a crust and your toddler's rejected banana. 😂

Sound familiar?

You don't need a fancy meal prep system or a fridge full of perfectly organised containers.

Sometimes looking after yourself means keeping a few easy snacks handy.

Sometimes it's sitting down to eat while someone else holds the baby.

Sometimes it's remembering to fill your water bottle before you leave the house.

Small things count.

World Food Day reminds us that access to nutritious food matters for everyone. And in the middle of caring for little people, it's worth remembering that you are someone who needs care, too. ❤️

Tell us below: what's your favourite quick snack when you're running on approximately three hours of sleep? 😂👇

Strong women build strong communities. ❤️

And sometimes, all it takes is one person to help another mum realise she's not doing this alone.

It's the trainer who welcomes a nervous new mum into class.

The mum who offers to help adjust a carrier.

The woman who says, “I've been there too.”

The friend who notices you've had a hard week.

And the community that reminds you that you matter, too.

Today is International Day of Rural Women, and we're celebrating the women who help their families and communities thrive, including the mums and trainers bringing Kangatraining to communities across New Zealand.

Because every mum deserves access to connection, support and opportunities to look after herself, wherever she lives. 🌸

And we dream of a day when even more NZ towns have their own KangaCrew!

“Can I exercise while babywearing?”

It's one of the questions we get asked ALL the time.

And the answer is…

Yes — but there are some important things to consider.

Baby's age and development.

Your postpartum recovery.

Your carrier and how it fits.

Baby's position.

Your baby's airway.

The type and intensity of movement.

And whether you can maintain a safe position for your baby throughout the exercise.

That's why Kangatraining isn't simply:

“Put baby in carrier → start exercising.”

There's a whole lot more to it.

Your KangaTrainer is trained to help you find safe movement options and make modifications where needed.

Because we want you to get stronger.

We want you to have fun.

We want you to enjoy moving with your baby.

But most importantly…

We want you both to be safe. ❤️

Save this one for later and send it to a new mum who might be wondering the same thing!

Babywearing is beautiful.

But safe babywearing is even better. ❤️

As a babywearing consultant, there are a few things I want every parent to know before they start wearing their baby—especially if they're planning to exercise.

👶 Baby's face and airway need to remain clear.

💋 Baby should be high and close enough to kiss.

🫶 Their body needs to be properly supported in an age-appropriate position.

👀 You should be able to see your baby's face and check on them easily.

💪 And your carrier needs to fit YOU too!

When we add exercise into the mix, there are extra considerations around movement, positioning and the type of carrier being used.

This is why safe babywearing is such a big part of Kangatraining.

Because getting your workout in is important.

But getting your babywearing fit right comes first. ❤️

If you're not sure whether your carrier is right for you and your baby, ask your KangaTrainer for help.

There is something pretty special about having your baby this close. ❤️

The little sleepy breaths.

The tiny hands grabbing your top.

The way they look up at you.

The feeling of knowing they're right there.

Babywearing can make life easier.

It can give you two free hands.

It can help you get out of the house.

And yes… it can mean you can actually finish your lunch while it's still warm. 😂

But sometimes the best part is simply this:

They're close.

And you're together.

Happy International Babywearing Week, KangaCrew. 🌸
